Our place-located about 8 kilometers past the Mekong Bridge in Kompong Cham on the way to Kratie, Mondulkiri and Rattanakiri. And NO, I don't know why the homepage doesn't materialise.

Please go to their website for full information. One of my guests told me that they found it very informative. At $16/per person/per night; it's got to be one of the cheapest around. Located to the south of Phnom Penh. Lately I've been unable to connect with this website;

CHI PAT
www.ecoadventurecambodia.com/
Here's a great project that benefits the local residents in this area of the Cardamon mountains. It is especially geared for those who are outdoor sporting enthusiasts. And yes they have homestays. They have become popular with many travel agencies ( see http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=1858635 for a more complete listing) but you can get there on your own. But you better get there quick; a new titnium concession is threatening not only Chi Pa, but more than 20, 000 hectares of pristine woodlands and 23 water sources. Go to: http://www.phnompenhpost.com/index.php/2011021446751/National-news/titanium-concession-approved-in-koh-kong.html

Mekong Discovery Trail
www.mekongdiscoverytrail.com/html/Links_contacts.html
Here's another worthwhile one. Started by the same NGO's that developed the Chi Pat project. This trail which can be bicycled theoretically goes all the way from K to ST with homestays inbetween I just ran across a travel blog by someone who stayed there and took some really excellent photos. His artistic style is up front and personal

Here's the newest one I could find; it came from Lonely Planet's travel forum Thorntree. It is more than just a place to stay; it's a learning experience with an ethnic group in Mondolkiri. Here is the short blurb posted by the poster blorg. WWF is helping local villagers in Dei Ey to earn money from tourism as a strategy for wildlife conservation. This project is still in a pilot stage. Check it out and support wildlife conservation in Cambodia:http://www.mondulkiritourism.org

phong-nha-cave.com/
Phong Nha Farm Stay-I stumbled across this one on ThornTree, the Lonely Planet travel forum. I further followed it up with on-line evaluations, especially Tripadvisor.com and found it to be highly rated. The only drawback is that nowhere on the site are prices mentioned; you have to do the leg work and contact them, although the owner recently contacted me and see that a website revision is in the works.UPDATE: the site has been revised and here is more discussion about this farmstay: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2016173&messageID=18166454#18166454. Just received one negative review on Thorn Tree http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2117360 . However the bulk of reviews on Trip Advisor are full of praise http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2117360

This is a really new one! I found in in Thorn Tree travel forum. For a brief history go to http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2133804&messageID=19223149#19223149 It certainly looks like the real deal and your money goes directly to the indigenous people
